About

My name is Sanparith Marukatat (สรรพฤทธิ์ มฤคทัต) or Peune (ปืน). I’m a researcher in AI and Machine Learning at NECTEC, Thailand’s national electronics and computer technology center (ORCID, DBLP, Google Scholar). My path here was a long one — quite literally: I spent 10 years in France on a Thai government scholarship, which gave me both a PhD and an inexplicable appreciation for pain au chocolat. Et oui je parle français :)

Back in Thailand, I lecture at various universities and have spent the last 6 years helping AIAT, the AI Association of Thailand, organize the Super AI Engineer training camp — a program I’m genuinely proud of, watching a new generation of Thai AI engineers grow each year.

Outside the lab, I’m a retired-ish marathoner with over 10 races under my belt (my knees have opinions about that). These days my most important title is dad to one wonderful little girl, who is far more unpredictable than any machine learning model I’ve trained.
